Technician 3, Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and regular inspections on production equipment per schedule.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
• Document maintenance activities, PM checklists, and unscheduled failures in the tool maintenance system.
• Provide technical input to Shift Coordinators and Engineers to improve tool availability and reduce scrap.
• Provide technical training and certification for junior technicians.
• Support machine conversion, upgrade, and improvement projects.

Requirements

• Diploma or Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work 12-hour AWS shifts and overtime as required.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with vacuum chamber systems or sputtering equipment.
• Knowledge of control systems and/or PLC (Process Logic Control).
• Experience using measurement tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Ability to read and study schematic/circuit diagrams for system troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in MS Windows software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with Production, Process, and Quality teams.
