Technician 3, Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and regular inspections on production equipment per schedule.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Document all maintenance activities, PM checklists, and unscheduled failures in the tool maintenance system.
• Provide technical input to Shift Coordinators and Equipment Engineers to improve tool availability and reduce scrap.
• Provide technical training and certification for junior technicians.
• Support machine conversion, upgrade, and improvement projects.

Requirements

• Diploma or Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering.
• Ability to work a 12-hour AWS shift and overtime as required.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control system failures.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically with vacuum chamber systems.
• Familiarity with Sputtering equipment or related machine maintenance.
• Knowledge of PLC (Process Logic Control) and control systems.
• Proficiency with measurement tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Ability to read and study schematic/circuit diagrams for system troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in MS Windows software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
