Technician 3, Engineering

Responsibilities

• Assist FA engineers in failure analysis investigations for in-line failures, reliability test failures, and customer/field returns
• Perform basic electrical and physical failure analysis following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Prepare samples for analysis, including labeling, marking, and disk orientation/location
• Track and manage samples throughout the failure analysis workflow
• Operate and maintain FA laboratory equipment such as optical microscopes, AFM, Zygo, and OSA
• Capture and organize optical images, measurement data, test results, and observations
• Maintain accurate and detailed FA records in databases or logbooks
• Support FA engineers in the preparation of technical reports

Requirements

• Experience in a failure analysis laboratory, test lab, quality lab, or reliability lab
• Relevant certifications in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Science
• Strong hands-on technical skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work nights and weekends as required
