Technician 2, Manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Execute process characterization activities and perform measurements on evaluation samples following engineer plans
• Monitor sputter processes and machine alarms, taking appropriate action based on provided guidelines
• Carry out troubleshooting on metrology tools and isolate process changes causing machine alarms
• Compile data using Excel or PowerPoint for measurement samples
• Support and cooperate with other departments to solve assembly and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) issues
• Comply with EHS policies and participate in company activities such as 6S and IMS

Requirements

• Diploma or Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering
• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment involving machine operation and data collection
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift pattern and overtime as required
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical information effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• Working experience with sputter metrology tools
• Knowledge of magnetic materials used in Hard Disk Drives (HDD)
• Proficiency with Excel Macros
