Technician 2, Equipment Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Assist in both planned and unplanned tool repair within a class 10 cleanroom Wafer Fabrication facility
• Perform root cause troubleshooting and fault finding to the component level
• Support ongoing tool development, enhancement, and improvement projects
• Work with mentors on hands-on practical investigation and hardware resolution
• Utilize technical manuals, specifications, drawings, diagrams, and schematics to perform tasks
• Follow preventative maintenance and Standard Work procedures
• Present completed work, learnings, and recommendations to the team

Requirements

• NFQ Level 6, 7, or 8 technical qualification
• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment or an equipment maintenance role
• Proven analytical troubleshooting skills, including Root Cause Analysis and Problem Solving (e.g., 5-why)
• Ability to work a 5-cycle rotating shift pattern
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with hand tool application
• Basic understanding of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) strategies
• Familiarity with electronics, high vacuum, pneumatics, or robotics
