About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist in both planned and unplanned tool repairs within a cleanroom wafer fabrication facility
- Perform root cause troubleshooting and fault finding to the component level
- Support ongoing tool development, enhancement, and improvement projects
- Work with mentors on hands-on practical investigations and hardware resolutions
- Utilize technical manuals, specifications, drawings, diagrams, and schematics to perform tasks
- Follow preventative maintenance and Standard Work procedures
- Present completed work, learnings, and recommendations to the team
Requirements
- NFQ Level 6, 7, or 8 technical qualification
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment or an equipment maintenance role
- Proven analytical troubleshooting skills (e.g., Root Cause Analysis, 5-why, Problem Solving)
- Ability to work from technical documentation and utilize various tools and test equipment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness and ability to work a 5-cycle rotating shift pattern
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with hand tool application
- Basic understanding of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) strategies
- Familiarity with electronics, high vacuum, pneumatics, or robotics
