About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist in both planned and unplanned tool repairs within a cleanroom wafer fabrication facility
  • Perform root cause troubleshooting and fault finding to the component level
  • Support ongoing tool development, enhancement, and improvement projects
  • Work with mentors on hands-on practical investigations and hardware resolutions
  • Utilize technical manuals, specifications, drawings, diagrams, and schematics to perform tasks
  • Follow preventative maintenance and Standard Work procedures
  • Present completed work, learnings, and recommendations to the team

Requirements

  • NFQ Level 6, 7, or 8 technical qualification
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment or an equipment maintenance role
  • Proven analytical troubleshooting skills (e.g., Root Cause Analysis, 5-why, Problem Solving)
  • Ability to work from technical documentation and utilize various tools and test equipment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to work a 5-cycle rotating shift pattern

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with hand tool application
  • Basic understanding of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) strategies
  • Familiarity with electronics, high vacuum, pneumatics, or robotics
