Technician 1 - Power

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on power generators, diesel engines, and electrical distribution equipment
• Troubleshoot equipment failures both at the service center and at various customer locations
• Set up and operate equipment independently or as part of a technical team
• Travel locally in a company vehicle to perform field service duties

Requirements

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
• 2-5 years of experience performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs on diesel or natural gas generators
• Ability to read and understand technical schematics
• Experience calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 75 lbs
• Willingness to work offshore as required by customer needs

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card
