Technical Writer/Communication Specialist

Responsibilities

• Develop, edit, and maintain high-quality technical and strategic communication materials
• Prepare formal reports, memoranda, directives, newsletters, SOPs, and project management plans
• Create presentations and executive-level briefing decks for leadership
• Translate complex technical or operational concepts into user-friendly content
• Support strategic messaging and communication planning initiatives
• Conduct quality reviews to ensure consistency and accuracy
• Assist with process mapping and workflow documentation
• Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders to gather information

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of technical writing experience within Federal or State agencies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Expertise in developing presentations for executive audiences
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
• Demonstrated expertise in process mapping and documentation
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently
• CBP BI Clearance preferred
