About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop, edit, and maintain high-quality technical and strategic communication materials
- Prepare formal reports, memoranda, directives, newsletters, SOPs, and project management plans
- Create presentations and executive-level briefing decks for leadership
- Translate complex technical or operational concepts into user-friendly content
- Support strategic messaging and communication planning initiatives
- Conduct quality reviews to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Assist with process mapping and workflow documentation
- Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders to gather information
Requirements
- Minimum of four years of technical writing experience within Federal or State agencies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Expertise in developing presentations for executive audiences
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Demonstrated expertise in process mapping and documentation
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently
- CBP BI Clearance preferred
