Technical Writer

Responsibilities

• Research, write, and edit customer-facing documentation including user manuals, online help systems, and quick installation guides.
• Provide technical documentation support for the Edge Thermal Product Line within the Thermal Management Business Unit.
• Proactively gather technical information by researching engineering data and interviewing technical personnel to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Assemble documentation in correct Vertiv or OEM formats, maintaining consistency with established standards and styles.
• Develop documentation for both hardware and software applications.
• Manage multiple complex project schedules across various Product Lines and Business Units simultaneously.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of related technical writing experience.
• Bachelor's degree in technical writing, professional writing, journalism, English, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
• Fluency in English with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat DC Pro, Adobe InDesign, and MadCap Flare (or equivalent single-source desktop publishing tools).
• Proven experience working with style guides, style sheets, and formal editing processes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, international environment with multiple deadlines and time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience writing for localization and collaborating with international teams.
• Familiarity with AI technology within the technical writing field.
• Experience with Smartsheet, CSS, XML, and XHTML.
