Technical Writer

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain technical documentation, including user guides, instructional manuals, release notes, and FAQs
• Translate complex infrastructure and platform concepts into clear, user-friendly content
• Support customer-facing documentation such as user guides and knowledge base articles
• Maintain and enhance documentation repositories, including Confluence and Git-based platforms
• Ensure consistent standards, templates, and formatting across all documentation
• Keep documentation up to date with evolving systems, ensuring accuracy and usability
• Work independently to research, develop, and complete assigned documentation projects

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant technical documentation experience
• Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience
• Proficiency in Markdown and HTML
• Working knowledge of GitHub workflows, Confluence, and Jira
• Strong ability to understand, interpret, and clearly explain technical systems
• Experience collaborating with Product and Engineering teams within product release cycles

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to manufacturing platforms, the cable industry, or infrastructure-related domains
• Experience working with Oxygen XML Editor or similar tools
• Familiarity with documentation authoring tools such as RoboHelp or Help & Doc
