Responsibilities

• Interact cross functionally with engineers, project managers, pilots, and other key stakeholders to architect, create, edit, and publish technical documentation
• Support documentation alignment with version control software, release systems, and Docs-as-Code workflows
• Develop clear and concise documentation to reduce the probability of future error
• Gather feedback and consider all relevant data to improve existing and future documentation
• Support in organizing, coordinating, and tracking documentation tasks to align with team and company-wide goals

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Communications, STEM, or related field
• 5+ years of technical writing experience
• 2+ years of experience in the aerospace industry
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with FAA technical publication standards and aviation documentation guidance
• Experience working at a startup
• Product Launch / Full Lifecycle experience
• Proficiency with Git, Asciidoctor, VS Code, and Docs-as-Code workflows
• Experience using Python and Ruby for documentation automation
• Experience creating technical illustrations from CAD/3D model data
• A portfolio of writing samples

• Salary: $95,000 - $125,000
