Technical Writer

Responsibilities

• Translate technical information into understandable language for the memory division to support new product development
• Provide desktop publishing of technical publications for memory engineering projects
• Accurately edit, proof, format, and publish technical documentation including Data Sheets, User’s Guides, Application Notes, and Errata
• Interface with internal customers regarding the development of technical literature
• Maintain and deliver required documentation in accordance with project schedules and tight deadlines
• Coordinate and support document control, distribution, and the website posting process

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in writing or editing technical documentation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to assimilate and convey technical material in a concise and effective manner
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
• Proactive approach to identifying documentation gaps and proposing improvements

Preferred Qualifications

• Higher education in English, Journalism, Communication, or FILS
• Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator
• Experience with FrameMaker and SDL Knowledge Center
