Technical Writer

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and produce content across the full business lifecycle including marketing collateral, white papers, and proposals
• Lead proposal writing and coordination by interpreting RFPs, RFIs, and BAAs
• Build compliant outlines and compliance matrices for technical and management volumes
• Distill complex inputs from mission engineers and subject-matter experts into clear narratives
• Partner across the organization to ensure documentation is accurate and delivered on schedule

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in English, communications, journalism, engineering, or a related science discipline
• 5+ years of professional technical writing experience, ideally in aerospace or defense
• Demonstrated experience writing and coordinating proposals for US government solicitations
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a technical portfolio
• Ability to interview subject-matter experts and produce content from sparse inputs
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced startup environment
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
• Willingness to pursue and maintain a Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with spacecraft, satellite, or payload programs
• Familiarity with government contracting vehicles, CDRLs, and DIDs
• Proficiency with Adobe InDesign or Illustrator
• Experience building content libraries and style guides
• APMP certification
