Technical Writer I

Responsibilities

• Develop, edit, and maintain technical documentation including system manuals, SOPs, and training materials
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation
• Ensure compliance with DoD, Navy, and program standards
• Collaborate with engineers, cybersecurity personnel, and program staff to validate content
• Support documentation for RMF packages, system configurations, and operational procedures
• Maintain document version control and support audits and reviews

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in technical writing, communications, or IT
• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, IT, or related field
• Experience creating and editing technical documentation in a structured environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat
• Eligibility to obtain Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting DoD or Navy programs
• Familiarity with configuration management and document control processes
• Experience with RMF documentation or system engineering documentation
