Technical Writer

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain structured, component-based content designed for reuse, personalization, and AI-driven delivery.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to obtain an in-depth understanding of products and documentation needs.
• Use test environments to research products and obtain screen samples for documentation.
• Leverage generative AI tools to accelerate content creation, editing, and summarization while validating accuracy.
• Partner with product, support, and AI teams to ensure documentation supports intelligent search and chatbot experiences.
• Apply content transformation standards to convert legacy documentation into modular, metadata-rich topics.
• Estimate, track, and prioritize assigned projects to meet established deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in English, Technical Communications, Professional Writing, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of relevant technical writing experience.
• Proficiency with Madcap Flare, HTML, Microsoft Word, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, and SnagIT.
• Experience working within SDLC and Agile environments.
• Experience using generative AI tools and content assistants to support technical writing workflows.
• Strong understanding of structured authoring concepts, including topic-based writing, reuse, and metadata.
• Proficiency in writing high-quality content in U.S. English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience writing user interface (UI) text and application screen content.
• Experience leading project teams and content transformation initiatives.
• Experience creating semantically consistent content optimized for AI consumption (chatbots, intelligent knowledge platforms).
• Knowledge of the banking industry, financial platforms, or online financial solutions.
• Experience with Fluid Topics, JIRA, and Confluence.
