Technical Writer

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and update all operations manuals, documentation, forms, and training aids for the Operations division
• Manage and deliver manual revisions in coordination with key stakeholders
• Ensure EFB applications are maintained and up to date
• Maintain and update GCAA approved manuals and OEM publications for Airbus and Boeing
• Produce accurate PDF, HTML, and XML versions of operational documentation to ensure high quality and consistency
• Construct and update standard templates for all manuals and publications
• Issue Flight Operations Bulletins, Cabin Bulletins, Flight Crew Technical Notices, and Dispatch Standing Instructions
• Incorporate OEM modifications and recommendations into customized manuals using specialized tools
• Coordinate with manual owners regarding the drafting and approval of change requests

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school certification; University Degree preferred
• At least 3 years of experience working within an airline or OEM environment
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Proficiency with FrameMaker and XML editors
• Experience with HTML/XML, SGML, and document management systems (CMS)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Training in Airbus or Boeing tools is a plus
