About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of technical onboarding and development programs for Renewables US field personnel, focusing on solar, BESS, and electrical safety
  • Develop and maintain standardized curriculum, instructor guides, practical lab exercises, and competency assessments
  • Deliver classroom, hands-on lab, virtual, and structured on-the-job training
  • Partner with Operations, HSE, and Quality to align training with safety requirements and workmanship expectations
  • Assess technician competency through written evaluations and hands-on demonstrations
  • Manage technical training content within the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Coordinate training schedules, equipment availability, and lab readiness
  • Develop train-the-trainer processes and coach additional instructors
  • Travel as required to deliver hands-on training and support practical evaluations across the United States

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of technical field experience related to electrical work (solar, BESS, commissioning, or O&M)
  • Experience mentoring technicians, coaching instructors, or building repeatable training processes
  • Experience developing structured technical curriculum, lesson plans, or e-learning content
  • Knowledge of electrical safety and technical standards including NFPA 70E, OSHA, LOTO, and NEC
  • Experience evaluating technician competency through assessments and field observations
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and MS Office suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification or formal training in instructional design or adult learning
  • Experience in project management, quality management, or continuous improvement
