Technical Trainer

Responsibilities

• Lead classroom training sessions focused on core manufacturing fundamentals and specialized operations
• Support trainees during the on-the-job phase through hands-on coaching and real-time feedback
• Deliver structured, clear, and engaging training aligned with quality and operations standards
• Serve as an on-floor coach modeling best practices and professionalism
• Provide direct, constructive feedback to trainees on performance and quality
• Identify individuals needing additional support and partner with the Training Supervisor to adjust learning plans
• Collect feedback to refine training content, pacing, and clarity
• Recommend updates to curriculum, SOPs, and materials
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality to ensure training reflects latest standards and drawings
• Track and report trainee progress and skill proficiency

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in wire harness assembly
• 3+ years of direct experience as a Technical Trainer in a production environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions
• Ability to work across Engineering, Quality, and Production departments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace and defense manufacturing environments
• IPC/WHMA-A-620 training certification or equivalent
• Proficiency in ERP/MES systems and digital training documentation
• Proven ability to identify process gaps and propose improvements
