Technical Trainer

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-level and deep-dive application demonstrations to equip stakeholders with understanding of system capabilities.
• Onboard new and existing users to application workflows and task procedures.
• Create and maintain step-by-step training guides, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical manuals.
• Write stakeholder-facing documentation, including test plans and administrative reports, to maintain development transparency.
• Collaborate with UX designers to document interface requirements and application behavior expectations.
• Support functional testing of software releases from various user role perspectives.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a JWICS, SAP/SAR security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in technical writing, specifically creating SOPs and technical manuals.
• Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for requirements tracking and documentation management.
• Experience working in Agile development environments and participating in sprint ceremonies.
• Familiarity with GitLab, Git, and software development processes.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Google Suite.
• Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in Quality Assurance (QA) or software test-writing.
• Experience using diagramming tools such as Visio or Lucidchart.
• Familiarity with Markdown and content management systems.
