Technical Trainer

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and practical training classes on BlackLine products both in-person and virtually.
• Translate complex accounting principles into clear, understandable concepts within the software context.
• Act as a subject matter expert, sharing best practices and consulting with clients on financial close needs.
• Collaborate with Learning Experience Designers to ensure training content is accurate and impactful.
• Represent BlackLine at key customer events and user conferences.
• Meet assigned quarterly and annual delivery satisfaction and utilization targets.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a corporate accounting or finance role (e.g., Accountant, Financial Analyst, Controller, Auditor).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Project Management and SaaS implementation methodology.
• Ability to travel 25-50%.
• Ability to deliver virtual training via MS Teams or similar applications to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using BlackLine or other financial close automation software.
• Experience with process improvement or system implementation projects.
• Experience applying adult learning principles to instructor-led training sessions.
• Experience developing learning materials such as PowerPoint decks, student guides, and lab exercises.
