Technical Test Validation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support component and vehicle-level testing of commercial vehicle steering column systems (electric and hydraulic)
• Assemble, disassemble, mount, and prepare steering components and subassemblies for laboratory testing
• Set up, operate, and monitor data acquisition and instrumentation systems during lab testing
• Execute validation, quality audit, warranty, and line-return tests per engineering requirements
• Collect, analyze, document, and report test results in compliance with ZF test specifications
• Troubleshoot laboratory test equipment, electronic control systems, and DAQ instrumentation
• Collaborate with global engineering teams to ensure testing requirements are met
• Maintain laboratory efficiency and compliance through 5S, safety, and quality/ISO standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in automotive machining processes
• Advanced English proficiency
• Experience in automotive product testing with familiarity in mechanical tools and sensors
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Windows
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 standards
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills (e.g., 8D, Six Sigma, or Red-X)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or QAD
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD or SolidWorks)
• Experience with Minitab or other statistical analysis tools
• Welding certification (IG welding)
