About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for hardware and software, including personal computers, Macintosh, printers, mobile devices, and basic AV systems
- Assist users with network access issues, including Wi-Fi connectivity and VPN problems
- Perform installs, moves, adds, changes (IMAC), and decommissioning of computer equipment
- Document and report all work performed within the incident and problem management ticketing system
- Create and update IT documentation, troubleshooting guides, and FAQs to promote user self-service
- Perform root-cause analysis of IT problems and escalate complex issues to vendors or management when necessary
- Conduct proactive system maintenance and site inventory as required
Requirements
- 1 to 2 years of practical and related IT experience
- Completion of a 3-year community college program in a computer-related field or recognized equivalent
- Working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office 2016 or higher, and Office 365
- Strong understanding of networking, TCP/IP, and PC hardware
- Ability to work shift work, including weekends and holidays, in a 24/7 environment with potential on-call duties
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- A+ certification
- Knowledge of ITIL principles (ITIL Foundation required; ITIL Practitioner preferred)
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification
- Experience with PowerShell and/or Python scripting
- Experience with SCCM/SCOM or other automation and orchestration tools
