About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on technical support for environmental monitoring infrastructure, including installation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of field-based equipment and sensors.
- Coordinate and lead fieldwork activities, including logistics planning, data collection, and on-site supervision of students and research assistants in remote and regional WA.
- Support high-quality research outcomes by managing data workflows, maintaining QA/QC standards, and contributing to technical reporting and environmental data analysis.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent technical trade experience).
- Demonstrated experience in environmental fieldwork, including operating and maintaining monitoring equipment and leading field activities in remote locations.
- Strong technical and analytical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with Python or R.
- Proven ability to plan and deliver work in complex field environments with a strong commitment to safety and risk management.
- A current "C" class driver's licence.
- Current Four-Wheel Drive (4WD) training, First Aid/CPR, or a willingness to attain these certifications.
