Technical Support - New Technology

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical support to field teams both onsite and remotely
• Support the installation, commissioning, tuning, and testing of new lift equipment
• Assist Project Managers with new installations and modernisations
• Identify skill gaps and deliver training, mentoring, and development to the workforce
• Drive installation efficiency and promote best practice methodologies
• Support integration with third-party systems and resolve complex technical issues
• Improve equipment reliability and proactively address recurring faults
• Ensure high-quality handovers and strict compliance with safety and lift standards

Requirements

• Electrical Trade Qualification recognised in Australia
• Minimum 8 years of experience within the lift industry
• Strong technical expertise in elevator systems, installation, and commissioning
• Proven fault-finding ability across Schindler and third-party equipment
• Sound knowledge of lift codes and standards, specifically AS1735 and EN81
• Excellent communication, training, and facilitation skills
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement abilities
• A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
