About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support via phone, email, and WebEx for the Qualys Cloud Agent and associated services
- Act as the main point of contact for technical issues, working closely with Development and QA teams to facilitate resolutions
- Manage the prompt resolution of global customer and partner service requests in a highly secured environment
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional and friendly interactions
- Troubleshoot complex technical problems involving network services, protocols, and configurations
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in a technical support role
- Unix/Linux experience in an enterprise environment
- In-depth understanding of TCP/IP and LAN/WAN infrastructures
- Knowledge of common OS services including IIS, BIND, Apache, AD, WINS, Samba, and SSH
- Strong knowledge of firewall, Intrusion Detection System (IDS) technologies, and Network Vulnerability Scanners
- Experience with Windows Active Directory authentication and security
- Proficiency in Splunk for log queries and report/dashboard generation
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal)
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Cloud Platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP user management
- Experience with packet capture review and diagnosis
- Previous API support and Regex knowledge
- Scripting experience in Bash or Python
- Knowledge of major web server software (WebSphere, Tomcat, WebLogic)
- Oracle and Microsoft SQL knowledge
- Certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or CEH
- Experience with customer support and development tools like Salesforce and Jira
