About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage and resolve customer incidents for live production sites within aggressive SLA timelines
  • Handle network outages and emergencies by debugging and providing immediate resolutions
  • Work closely with global customers and onsite teams to ensure platform stability
  • Raise and track technical issues with partner vendors
  • Execute production changes, software upgrades, and license renewals during approved maintenance windows
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for complex platform issues within the mobile telecom domain
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (RHOCP), including version upgrades and managing OpenShift Operators

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the IT or Telecom industry
  • 3+ years of experience with virtualization technologies (vSphere, KVM, Docker, etc.) and cloud platforms like RHOCP and OpenStack
  • Strong troubleshooting expertise in Linux environments, specifically CentOS and Ubuntu
  • Proficiency with CLI for RedHat OpenShift and OpenStack modules (NOVA, SWIFT, GLANCE, NEUTRON, HEAT)
  • Expertise in managing Ceph storage and Persistent Volume Claims (PVCs)
  • Solid understanding of core networking topology, including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers
  • Experience with Shell scripting or Python
  • Proficiency with automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
