Technical Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level post-sale technical support, including installation, diagnostics, and tool repair for Automated Atomic Force Microscope tools.
• Perform advanced hardware, software, and application troubleshooting to ensure peak instrument performance.
• Execute maintenance and develop diagnostic methodologies to improve the customer experience.
• Manage customer relationships through effective communication, presentation skills, and prompt reporting.
• Identify and recommend opportunities for process and policy improvements.
• Travel domestically and internationally (approximately 50%) to support customers in various environments, including cleanrooms and laboratories.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred).
• Approximately 5 years of technical experience in a professional role.
• Proven expertise in hardware and software troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Ability to travel up to 50% on short notice, including international travel.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Ability to work irregular hours, including weekends, when necessary to support escalated issues.
