Technical Staff Engineer - Validation

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, ownership, and execution of validation strategies and test plans aligned with product requirements and market needs
• Perform lab-based validation, including design bring-up, characterization, and interoperability testing for high-speed connectivity devices
• Review and communicate validation results, debug findings, and recommendations to project and management stakeholders
• Specify and design test environments, including software, lab equipment, and test board requirements
• Serve as a cross-functional interface, collaborating with Design, Verification, Applications, Marketing, and Product Engineering teams
• Lead cross-functional debug and root-cause discussions and drive JIRA-based debug workflows
• Mentor junior validation engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of validation processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• 12+ years of experience in high-speed digital, analog/mixed-signal, systems design/testing, or Power IC design/test
• Proven experience leading teams of 5 or more direct reports
• Strong working knowledge of electronics lab equipment, including Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, and Protocol Analyzers
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to develop hardware design specifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of high-speed connectivity protocols such as Ethernet, USB (2.0/3.x), or PCI-Express
• Experience reviewing schematics and layouts for silicon validation or reference boards
• Proficiency in Python-based automation for validation, data analysis, or lab equipment control
• Exposure to IC device characterization and silicon performance analysis
