Technical Staff Engineer - Digital Design

Responsibilities

• Work with cross-functional teams to define new product features
• Create functional FPGA IP units and assemble multiple IP complexes into full system designs
• Write detailed documentation for IP and FPGA designs
• Create test benches to simulate and verify IP units
• Build and test complex FPGA designs and work with hardware engineers on board bring-up
• Support software engineers in the development and debugging of drivers for FPGA units
• Develop tools for testing and support product sustaining efforts

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar field
• 12+ years of relevant professional experience
• 10+ years of FPGA/ASIC IP and system design experience
• Proficiency with VHDL and/or Verilog
• Hands-on experience with FPGA/ASIC design and verification
• Strong understanding of digital design concepts, principles, and computer architecture
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
• Experience with Ethernet design and IEEE 1588 PTP and NTP protocols
• Experience with clock/frequency synthesis and measurement
• Proficiency with FPGA build tools (e.g., Libero, Quartus, or Vivado) and debug tools (e.g., Identify Debugger, SignalTap, or ChipScope)
• Experience with simulation tools such as ModelSim/QuestaSim
• Proficiency with Python, TCL, or other scripting languages
• Experience with board-level design
