About the role
Responsibilities
- Own complex digital integrated circuits at the block, subsystem, or device level using Verilog and System Verilog
- Translate complex architectural requirements into realizable microarchitecture for targeted technology nodes
- Lead and mentor design engineers while scoping and scheduling technical deliverables
- Define subsystem and block feature sets and document design implementation and register details
- Collaborate with global design and verification teams to resolve technical issues and communicate status
- Justify design implementation decisions and associated trade-offs to executive leadership
- Support emulation and ASIC lab validation, including lab debug and providing logic modifications
- Develop expertise in applicable storage and computer interface protocol standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field
- 12+ years of related experience in semiconductor design
- Extensive experience in RTL design using System Verilog or Verilog
- Deep understanding of complex ASIC design flows, including simulation, debug, logic synthesis, and static timing analysis
- Proficiency in scripting and programming using Python, Perl, Tcl, Bash, or Csh
- Proven experience integrating 3rd party and high-speed mixed-signal IP
- Experience working with physical design teams for layout implementation
- Strong analytical and debugging skills with the ability to solve complex EDA tool or design issues
Preferred Qualifications
- Protocol knowledge and experience in PCI-Express
- Knowledge of AHB/AXI bus protocols
- Experience with low power methodology and flows
- Working knowledge of Design for Test (DFT)
- Experience with Formal Verification
