Technical Specialist, Test Vehicle Management

Responsibilities

• Create and implement test strategies to evaluate whole vehicle performance
• Design, plan, and conduct whole vehicle testing
• Investigate failures and issues during production to determine root causes and coordinate countermeasures
• Oversee and maintain R&D testing equipment and ensure accurate calibration
• Generate detailed car reports summarizing build parameters, test results, and recommendations
• Collaborate with R&D departments like Body, Interior, and Energy to integrate test results into vehicle development
• Partner with concept and systems architect teams to solve engineering and functional challenges
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure requirements and validation standards are met
• Support the pre-series build process through hands-on prototyping and software implementation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or systems engineering, or engineering management
• 5+ years of experience in simulation and testing within the automotive or electric vehicle industry
• Experience leading whole vehicle test planning
• Proficiency with specialized testing equipment, data acquisition systems, and analysis software
• Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols
• Ability to manage multiple projects and lead simultaneous engineering teams
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 25% of the time
