Technical Specialist - Flying Doc

Responsibilities

• Conduct field and remote assignments to support dealers, authorized workshops, and technical centers across Europe
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in customer vehicles, including electrical, electronic, and multiplexing faults
• Analyze individual vehicle problems and systematic patterns to derive immediate and corrective actions
• Utilize OEM diagnostic tools for guided diagnostics, software updates, and reprogramming
• Interpret wiring diagrams, service manuals, and technical bulletins to identify root causes
• Create technical reports, incident summaries, and action plans for engineering and quality teams
• Coordinate interdisciplinary teams at repair sites and provide on-the-job training to technicians
• Manage tools, equipment, and deployment logistics while maintaining accurate case records

Requirements

• Proven experience in the automotive industry (technical support, diagnostics, or workshop operations)
• Practical experience solving complex electrical/electronic faults using OEM diagnostic platforms
• Deep knowledge of modern vehicle systems (powertrain, chassis, ADAS, electronics, CAN/LIN/FlexRay)
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and using diagnostic methods like Root-Cause Analysis
• Competence in ECU programming, coding, and configuration
• Advanced use of multimeters, oscilloscopes, and measurement technology
• Strong technical writing skills for incident summaries and knowledge articles
• Ability to work independently in a field-based environment

Preferred Qualifications

• European field experience and multi-brand knowledge
• Experience supporting multiple locations or markets
