Technical Specialist, Cogito Reporting

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders and SMEs to understand Cogito reporting requirements and analyze data consumer needs
• Lead complex Epic Cogito projects on the Data & Analytics roadmap
• Build Epic Cogito reporting content using SQL within Clarity and Caboodle databases
• Develop, test, and validate AI and Cognitive Computing models into reporting content
• Develop Cogito SlicerDicer custom filters and sessions using Caboodle
• Build Cogito Reporting workbench by creating rules and PAFs
• Develop custom Cogito radar dashboards and SQL reporting workbench
• Manage Cogito reporting content across POC, TST, and PRD environments
• Provide technical documentation including SRS and PRD
• Maintain the Epic Analytics Catalog and associated metadata records
• Design and maintain enterprise-wide reporting security policies
• Assist with end-user training and resolve reporting or access issues

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Epidemiology, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or equivalent
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in BI and Data Analytics reporting tool development and deployment
• Proficiency with SQL and relational database concepts
• Experience working with the Epic EMR system and familiarity with Epic application/database structure
• Knowledge of clinical and business workflows in a Canadian healthcare setting
• Knowledge of Ontario healthcare clinical and financial reporting requirements
• Experience in large IT clinical transformations within healthcare

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree
• Epic Cogito Certification
• In-depth knowledge of UHN's system build and end-user workflows
