About the role
Responsibilities
- Create detailed test plans based on multiple internal customer requests
- Coordinate teams of mechanics, technicians, and drivers to support vehicle preparation and testing
- Oversee instrumentation work instructions and data acquisition hardware installation
- Train junior engineers and technicians on data capture and troubleshooting procedures
- Analyze test data to ensure integrity and create formal technical reports
- Manage documentation for capital planning, equipment maintenance, and calibration
- Ensure all testing equipment is properly stored and maintained for mission readiness
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Computer Science with 9+ years of experience, OR a Master's degree with 5+ years, OR a PhD with 3+ years
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership/lead experience
- Hands-on experience with data acquisition systems
- Extensive knowledge of instrumentation for emissions and performance testing
- Ability to travel extensively for multi-week test durations at remote locations (hot, cold, and high-altitude)
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive experience in heavy commercial truck or passenger vehicle development testing
- Experience with both portable and stationary gaseous emissions testing equipment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams across multiple locations
