Responsibilities

• Own sourcing strategy for engineering and research roles across the stack, systems, ML, infrastructure, security, and beyond
• Build and maintain deep talent maps of the best engineers in our key hiring areas
• Find passive candidates through technical communities, papers, open source contributions, and original research
• Write specific, credible, and genuinely interesting outreach to engineers
• Partner with hiring managers and recruiters to understand role requirements
• Track pipeline data to continuously sharpen sourcing precision
• Help Cursor show up in relevant technical communities and conferences

Requirements

• 3+ years of engineering sourcing or research-focused recruiting experience
• Experience in fast-moving startup environments
• Ability to evaluate technical talent via GitHub, research papers, or engineering blogs
• Strong intuition for finding and reaching engineers online
• Data-literate and organized operator
• High autonomy and comfort with fast-paced environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience sourcing for AI, compiler, or systems roles
• Experience building sourcing programs or pipelines from scratch
• Personal network within research or open source communities
