About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and technical advice for GTEP services provided to Canadian Banking, focusing on infrastructure modernization and public cloud migration.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure functions, Development teams, Executive stakeholders, Compliance, and Security groups.
  • Drive accountability and maintain strategic relationships across the organization to achieve results.
  • Articulate technical strategies and roadmaps to C-Level business and technology executives.
  • Manage problem management escalations by communicating service level degradations or IT issues to business lines.
  • Ensure system availability for critical communication tools, including availability for off-hours problem resolution when required.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional experience in an enterprise Information Technology environment.
  • 4+ years of hands-on technical experience in end-to-end design, planning, and implementation for migrating from on-prem to Public Cloud infrastructure.
  • Proven hands-on technical experience driving modernization on Public Cloud platforms (GCP and/or Azure).
  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Spanish and/or French is considered an asset.
  • Experience building strategic partnerships and driving continuous improvements to achieve business goals.
