Technical Service Representative

Responsibilities

• Represent PPG at customer automotive production facilities to ensure satisfaction with coatings, adhesives, sealants, pretreatment, and electrocoat control.
• Support onsite customer teams by communicating cross-functionally to understand concerns, collecting data, and resolving issues.
• Monitor application processes, manage inventory, and handle material ordering to ensure functional plant operations.
• Provide technical updates and reports to PPG leadership and account management teams.
• Engage daily with customers to provide data-driven feedback, recommendations, and hands-on support.
• Follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols while performing tasks in a production environment.
• Support sales efforts to maintain business and ensure the successful start-up of new products.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree is a plus).
• 2+ years of field experience with industrial coating technologies, including Sealer & LASD, Pretreatment, and Electrocoat.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (maintaining complex spreadsheets), Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work in a customer production environment around automated equipment.
• Physical ability to lift approximately 50 lbs on a limited basis.
• Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with team members and customers.
