Technical Sales Specialist

Responsibilities

• Partner with regional sales teams to identify opportunities for envelope machine upgrades, retrofits, and modernization projects.
• Evaluate customer production environments and converting processes to recommend technical solutions and performance improvements.
• Support the development of technical proposals, scopes of work, and solution concepts during the quotation process.
• Act as a technical bridge between customers, engineering, and project teams to ensure successful execution of sold projects.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on Converting Technologies envelope machine platforms to translate customer challenges into engineering requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to develop automation improvements and performance optimization solutions.
• Provide field insights and customer feedback to support continuous product improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in technical sales, applications engineering, or industrial machinery support.
• Experience with envelope converting equipment, packaging machinery, or flexible packaging manufacturing.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and machine system designs.
• Willingness to travel 40–50% across North America to customer sites and company locations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
