About the role
Responsibilities
- Identify market opportunities and develop relationships with industry contacts
- Increase company revenue through direct sales to customers
- Prepare product overviews and perform product demonstrations
- Attend trade shows and professional meetings
- Generate repeat loyal sales that meet or exceed annual targets
- Manage and expand the customer base in the assigned region
- Prepare aggressive sales budgets and product forecasts
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in technical sales
- Proven track record of large-scale sales in technology or related industries
- Ability to learn and understand complex products quickly
- Excellent presentation and teaching skills
- Outstanding customer service skills and attention to detail
- Ability to travel approximately 70-75% per month
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
- IMSA certifications (Traffic Signal, Roadway Lighting, etc.)
- Established connections with city or county agencies
- Familiarity with transportation infrastructure projects
