Technical Sales Representative

Responsibilities

• Find, develop, and grow new and existing customers within the Alabama territory
• Conduct outbound communications to prospects and customers to identify needs and provide engineered solutions
• Troubleshoot complex customer problems, inquiries, and service requests
• Respond to requests for proposals, quotes, and large order pricing/discounting
• Utilize customer profile data to target high-potential accounts and match business fit
• Develop and implement account plans and campaigns to increase market share
• Partner with Marketing and Technical Support to execute strategic territory campaigns
• Perform routine sales travel to visit customers and attend relevant trade shows
• Identify and qualify new business opportunities using available resources

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience
• Ability to travel 50% of the time
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical, listening, and probing skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Chemical Manufacturing or Distribution
• Knowledge of Electronics, Aerospace, Transportation, Adhesives, or Contract Manufacturing
• Proven track record of driving year-over-year sales growth and customer retention
• Background in industrial distribution
