Technical Sales Representative

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow specific accounts by ensuring sustainability and driving sales development within the target market.
• Provide technical services to ensure optimal performance of existing applications and equipment.
• Perform accurate chemical applications to cooling water systems, boiler water systems, and liquid-solid separation.
• Conduct laboratory and on-site chemical evaluations and interpret water chemistry results.
• Maintain continuity of chemical supply, including deliveries and housekeeping.
• Support marketing strategies and assist in identifying and implementing continuous improvement projects.
• Manage SHERQ performance to deliver sales results with minimal risk to the company.
• Prepare and discuss detailed service reports with customers and conduct site inspections.

Requirements

• Degree or Higher National Diploma in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Metallurgy, or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of technical sales experience with a relevant tertiary chemical qualification, or 10 years of relevant industry experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in a sales and service environment within the water treatment industry.
• Valid driver's license.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general business systems.
• Ability to travel extensively and work in physically challenging plant environments.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders from operators to engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in polymer application to solid/liquid separation.
