About the role
Responsibilities
- Drive sales of evaporative cooling systems, including open-circuit, closed-circuit, hybrid, and modular cooling towers.
- Partner with engineers, contractors, and facility managers to identify needs and provide technical solutions for complex capital equipment sales.
- Conduct site surveys, load calculations, and performance evaluations to recommend optimal cooling solutions.
- Prepare detailed technical proposals, including equipment sizing, P&IDs, specifications, and ROI analyses.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to order close and handover to project execution teams.
- Maintain strong relationships with key accounts such as mechanical contractors, EPC firms, and industrial plants.
- Provide post-sale technical support and coordinate with service teams for startup and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3–7+ years of technical sales experience in cooling towers, HVAC, heat exchangers, or related process equipment.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, psychrometrics, and water chemistry.
- Proficiency in cooling tower selection software (e.g., HAP, TRACE, or manufacturer-specific programs).
- Ability to travel 40-60% for customer visits, job sites, and trade shows.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Registered Professional Engineer status or eligibility to obtain it.
- Knowledge of Legionella control, water treatment, and energy-efficiency standards.
