Technical Sales Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support product managers and the service area for the Wood Yard by managing quotes, sales orders, and project accounting functions
• Generate SAP quote numbers and electronic folders for Spare Parts, Field Service, and Service Contract customer quotes
• Prepare and distribute quotes to customers and enter/acknowledge sales orders in SAP
• Audit all orders to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to entry
• Generate and track purchase requisitions for project purchasing
• Maintain hard and electronic files for projects, field service orders, service contracts, and off-site inventory
• Assist Project Managers with customer account maintenance, project scopes, and contract renewals
• Coordinate with the Controller on policies, procedures, and training for sales and service staff
• Travel 2-3 times per year within the US

Requirements

• BA/BS degree required
• Two+ years of experience in customer service, inside sales, or accounting
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a team environment and independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Mechanical background
• Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
• Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems
