Technical Revenue Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage the review and approval of data center and cloud revenue agreements to ensure compliance with ASC 606 and Atlassian Revenue Policy.
• Provide technical guidance to Sales, Legal, and Order Management teams regarding deal structures and contractual terms.
• Review non-standard terms and perform accurate technical accounting assessments and computations for necessary adjustments.
• Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors on all revenue accounting matters.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency and accuracy of revenue accounting operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of revenue accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a technical accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and revenue recognition standards, specifically ASC 606.
• Proficiency with large-scale ERP systems (Oracle Fusion experience is a plus) and Revpro.
• Advanced Excel skills and a BA/BS degree in Accounting.
• Experience working within a public company environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or equivalent professional certification.
• Experience working at a Big-4 accounting firm.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and provide actionable recommendations to business leaders.
