Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting across software, machine learning, infrastructure, and leadership roles
• Partner with VP of Engineering, CTO, and Engineering Managers to define headcount plans and hiring bar
• Build top-of-funnel using creative outbound and talent intelligence
• Design assessments that predict on-the-job performance
• Coach hiring managers on structured interviewing and decision hygiene
• Operationalize hiring systems and track key funnel metrics
• Drive SLAs for fast offers and strong candidate experience
• Build brand through campaigns, referrals, and events
• Collaborate on dashboards and process automation within Ashby

Requirements

• Experience with full-cycle recruiting across IC and leadership roles
• Deep familiarity with technical roles including SWE, MLE, Applied AI, Security, and Infrastructure
• Proven ability to build and scale hiring systems using data-driven decisions
• Strong communication skills for working with executive leadership
• Ability to represent the Mercor brand to top technical candidates
• Familiarity with Ashby or ability to quickly adopt new recruiting tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a founding technical recruiter or early-stage startup builder
• Interest in the human data / AGI space
• Technical degree or professional experience in engineering
