Bree is a consumer finance platform that brings better, faster, and cheaper financial services to over half the Canadian population who live paycheck to paycheck. We were part of Y Combinator in 2021 and raised a $2M seed round shortly after.

Responsibilities

  • Own the entire hiring process for technical roles, from initial kick-off with hiring managers to offer negotiation and closing
  • Actively hunt for top-tier, passive talent for difficult-to-fill engineering and product roles
  • Build and drive the adoption of standardized, scalable hiring workflows
  • Act as the primary point of contact for candidates, providing diligent follow-through
  • Utilize a data-driven approach to provide leadership with insights on market trends and pipeline health
  • Contribute to Bree’s external employment brand

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in full-cycle technical recruiting
  • Experience in a fast-paced startup or high-growth environment
  • Proven track record of finding and engaging passive candidates
  • Technical fluency to screen engineers and product managers
  • Proficiency with AI tools
  • Strong experience with ATS platforms and LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
