Technical Quoting Specialist

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer specifications and drawing files to ensure technical feasibility
• Generate detailed and accurate quotes for standard and custom tooling, including punches, dies, special forms, and press brake tooling
• Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to ensure proper design considerations and accurate costing
• Provide technical guidance to customers and internal sales teams regarding tooling selection, materials, coatings, and tolerances
• Assist in troubleshooting tooling applications and addressing customer concerns related to performance or design
• Calculate load requirements and verify product specifications to ensure tooling meets company and customer standards

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of technical experience in tooling or sheet metal fabrication
• Hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication, specifically in forming and bending applications
• Ability to conceptualize punch and die designs based on customer requirements
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, CAD files, and product specifications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a solution-oriented approach

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Experience using SolidWorks, SAP, and MS Excel
