Technical Publications Specialist

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the full suite of Jaia Robotics product documentation, including illustrated user manuals, setup guides, and troubleshooting resources.
• Produce instructional video content covering product setup, usage, and step-by-step troubleshooting procedures.
• Drive the delivery of a complete first version of all product documentation by August 2026 to support new defense client onboarding.
• Collaborate in person with engineering, product, and field teams to translate complex technical specifications into clear, user-facing language.
• Establish and maintain a documentation version control process to ensure materials stay synchronized with hardware and software updates.
• Tailor documentation to meet the specific needs of diverse user segments, including defense operators, environmental researchers, and academic users.
• Define and enforce documentation standards, templates, and style guides to ensure consistency across all published materials.

Requirements

• Experience writing technical manuals for complex hardware and software products.
• Proven ability to translate engineering specifications into clear, professional prose.
• Experience creating instructional video content.
• Ability to obtain security clearance.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Ability to work onsite at our Bristol, RI office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in engineering, oceanography, business, communications, or marketing.
• Knowledge and experience operating JaiaBot vehicles.
• Seamanship or boating skills.
• A strong commitment to environmental protection.
