Technical Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor the operational progress of European defense technical projects, managing scope, deadlines, resources, and milestones.
• Coordinate technical activities within the European Defence Fund (EDF) framework, collaborating with international partners, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Integrate technical contributions in 5G/4G networks, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and cloud/edge computing.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, including work plans, test documentation, configurations, and technical reports.
• Supervise project budgets and cost controls to ensure activities remain within economic margins.
• Manage technical and operational risks by identifying deviations and proposing mitigation measures.
• Oversee functional testing, performance testing, integration activities, and field demonstrations.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and facilitate communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in Telecommunications, Industrial, Computer Engineering, or a similar field.
• 10 years of experience in technical project management, coordination, or execution.
• Proven experience in 5G/4G networks, tactical communications, or system integration.
• Strong knowledge of defense and security systems.
• English fluency at a C1 level.
• Ability to travel within Spain and Europe for technical meetings, tests, and demonstrations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with European collaborative programs such as the European Defence Fund (EDF), Horizon Europe, or Digital Europe.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Scrum Master.
• Specialized knowledge in cybersecurity, AI, cloud computing, edge computing, or dual-use technologies.
• Experience working with international consortia and diverse multicultural teams.
• Familiarity with ISO 15289 standards.
