About the role
Responsibilities
- Align Sigmoid with key Client initiatives and interface daily with Fortune 500 customers
- Connect with CIO, VP, and Director level clients regularly
- Build and manage delivery plans with domain experts to design scalable distributed components
- Act as a hiring manager to build, define, and train technical teams
- Provide hands-on coding guidance and design APIs, abstractions, and integration patterns
- Define technical requirements for data extraction, transformation, and automation within parallel processing environments
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant work experience
- Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
- Proven track record of managing teams of developers in fast-paced environments
- Experience in architecture and delivery of enterprise-scale applications
- Ability to travel to client locations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Deep expertise in the Big Data domain and architecting Big Data solutions
- Experience with database modeling, data mining, and warehousing
- Proficiency with the Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, MapReduce, Oozie, Hive, Impala, Spark, Kerberos, Kafka)
